The State of the Ozarks Fiddlers Convention was originally held at the Bob Walsh farm at Cape Fair, Missouri. Because of its popularity and growth and the need for more and better facilities, Bob moved it to Compton Ridge Campground just outside the town of Branson, Missouri where the event is held twice a year. Even though Bob is no longer with us, the fiddler's convention continues to be held the way he wanted.
For your convenience we will have a concession stand in the Gathering Place serving lunch and supper. We will have a fish fry Friday evening at 5:00 p.m. and a Pig Roast with all the trimmings Saturday evening at 5:00 p.m. Fish Fry and Pig Roast tickets will be available at the office and the Gathering Place. Visitors to the Branson area are invited to come and listen to the best bluegrass and traditional fiddling in the world performed by the top fiddlers and musicians from around the country. Admission is free! Free parking is available in the first parking lot to on the left at the entrance of the campground located on highway 248 across from The Wilderness Campground. If you don't have a campsite reserved please park in this lot. No overnight parking in parking lots will be permitted. No alcoholic beverages allowed.
