See the Baldknobbers Jamboree Show in Branson! Since 1959 three generations of the Mabe family have entertained visitors to the Branson area! The Baldknobbers Jamboree is proud to be in their 56th year here in Branson Missouri.
The Baldknobbers Jamboree was Branson's FIRST country music and comedy show. Branson has seen many changes since 1959 when Bill and Jim Mabe, along with brothers Lyle and Bob, began the Baldknobbers Jamboree and performed in downtown Branson in the old City Hall building. With 50 folding chairs and homemade instruments (a washboard and jawbone for rhythm, a wash tub bass, a banjo and a Dobro), they entertained the fishermen that came to Lake Taneycomo. Katie and Joyce, their wives, walked around in country dresses carrying signs to advertise the show.
