Baldknobbers Jamboree Show!



See the Baldknobbers Jamboree Show in Branson! Since 1959 three generations of the Mabe family have entertained visitors to the Branson area! The Baldknobbers Jamboree is proud to be in their 52nd year here in Branson Missouri.




The Baldknobbers Jamboree was Branson's FIRST country music and comedy show. Branson has seen many changes since 1959 when Bill and Jim Mabe, along with brothers Lyle and Bob, began the Baldknobbers Jamboree and performed in downtown Branson in the old City Hall building. With 50 folding chairs and homemade instruments (a washboard and jawbone for rhythm, a wash tub bass, a banjo and a Dobro), they entertained the fishermen that came to Lake Taneycomo. Katie and Joyce, their wives, walked around in country dresses carrying signs to advertise the show.

National Fall Harvest Festival At Silver Dollar City!



In recognition of Silver Dollar City's 50th anniversary, the US Congress recently proclaimed the 1880s theme park "The Home of American Craftsmanship." This fall, Silver Dollar City welcomes the season with the granddaddy of all its festivals, the one that has made Silver Dollar City what it is today!



The National Harvest Festival presents music and crafts of all kinds during the fall harvest festival at Silver Dollar City. Music includes live performances featuring Country Western, Bluegrass, and Gospel music.Crafts include wood carving, stained glass, natural wool dying, fabric weaving, barn wood birdhouses and much more. The sounds and smells of the fall harvest fill the Silver Dollar City square with sorghum making and cowboy cooking. Over 500 visiting craftsmen and musicians join Silver Dollar City's 100 resident craftsmen to create what is widely recognized in the industry as the nation's largest festival of demonstrating craftsmanship!


New this year PBS Craft in America Exhibit! Silver Dollar City is proud to host this amazing exhibit, developed exclusively for Silver Dollar City, from the creators of the Peabody-award winning PBS documentary series featuring unique American artists.



Also new this year Caricature Carvers of America Showcase featuring a Craftsmen's Reunion featuring veteran Silver Dollar City artisans including Peter Engler, Ted Blaylock, Peter Kramer, Lee Robertson, Tom Crain, Gary Dierking and Jesse Barnes. Meet over 100 Missouri artisans as they fill the park with their very own salute to Missouri's fine craftsmanship September 11 through October 30. Learn How To Do-It-Yourself Craft Workshops in Boatworks Theater. Learn how to make beautiful wreaths and centerpieces, and decorate Christmas trees!


Headin' West returns to the Opera House stage for another spectacular season! This 45-minute live musical production, created especially for Silver Dollar City, tells the timeless tale of American westward expansion during the 1860s. Complete with colorful characters, harrowing adventures, a moving musical score, surprising special effects, vivid scenery and talented performers – this is Silver Dollar City's biggest production show ever! Show is free with park admission. Headin' West runs September 11 through October 24.Headin’ West is the winner of the "Big-E" award for Best Overall Production in 2009 by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions! Be sure to see this show while you are visiting Silver Dollar City this fall!



The National Harvest Festival also features the Tastes of America including barbecued ribs, succulent ham or pork tenderloin straight from the Heartland, Southwestern entrées including Ham & Beans and your favorite desserts. Or try traditional dishes like Son of a Gun Beef Stew or Campfire Roasted Prairie Chicken fresh from the Frontier.


The National Fall Harvest Festival At Silver Dollar City runs now through October 30. Silver Dollar City is open Wednesday through Sundays, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Rockabilly is one of the earliest styles of Rock & Roll music, and emerged in the early 1950s and still has surges of fans. Rockabilly & Country Music was one in the same and then in the mid to late 1950's both Rockabilly and Country music took on their own directions and have influenced the Rock and Country music we listen to today!



Hot Hits of Rockabilly & Country Legends Show is located at 206 South Commercial Street in historic downtown Branson Missouri at the Branson Hot Hits Theatre. Now featuring Rockabilly artist Paul Dragon and Country artist Jason Gordon!


Paul Dragon has been performing Rockabilly music 34 years and has played The House of Blues, Ernest Tubbs Midnight Jamboree, The Palomino Club and numerous other venues. Paul Dragon reunited Elvis Presley’s original band performing with Scotty Moore, D.J. Fontana, Bob More and the legendary Jordanaires to record his first album “Golden Memories” for Starfire Records. Paul has held true to his belief that Rockabilly, American Roots Music will again rise to popularity in mainstream music.



Jason Gordon has been performing country music for 17 years and has opened shows for Trace Atkins, Ricky Van Shelton, Ronnie McDowell, Joe Diffie and Kevin Sharp plus many more! Music fans love Jason’s performances of "The Auctioneer" song made famous by LeRoy Van Dyke. Jason Gordon’s rich deep country vocals are sure to leave you entertained.
