Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Foghat, Poco, & Brewer and Shipley Concert Tickets!

Call 417-337-8427 for Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Foghat, Poco, Brewer & Shipley Concert Tickets! Join us for the Cowtown Ballroom Revival Concert in Lampe, Mo!

The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band formed in Southern California during the spring of 1966 as a scruffy, young jug-band. Forty-two years later, the quartet (Jeff Hanna, Jimmie Fadden, Bob Carpenter and John McEuen) is still going strong. See The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band perform your favorite songs. Foghat began their career in 1971 with an affection for American blues and 1950s rock n roll.

Foghat evolved into a major touring and recording act, playing a pumped-up brand of boogie-rock to arena-size audiences. Their looks grew flashier, yet the roots-rock core of the band remained ever-present under the surface.

Poco was founded in 1968 by Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Richie Furay, virtually invented the “country rock” genre. “Pickin’ Up the Pieces,” received the rare 5-star designation in Dave Marsh’s “Rolling Stone Record Guide.”

Brewer and Shipley's Top 10 hit "One Toke Over The Line" was largely responsible for introducing them to the masses, yet their music careers neither began nor ended with this one song.

Be sure to make plans now to see The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Foghat, Poco, & Brewer and Shipley live in concert Sunday August 8, 2010 in Lampe, MO!

Steve Martin has deployed a banjo in his stand-up comedy routine for years, but after winning a Grammy earlier this year with The Crow, New Songs for the 5-String Banjo it is obvious that the banjo is no novelty. Martin has been a serious student of the banjo for years, and his level of determination combined with his creativity has propelled him to the top of the music industry just as it has the motion picture industry. Besides starring in more the 50 feature films, he has also hosted the Academy Awards and Saturday Night Live numerous times. He has made numerous records and performed sold-out concerts for more than 30 years. It will be a treat to have him playing with his band, the Steep Canyon Rangers, at Black Oak Mountain Amphitheater.

Earl Scruggs has entertained and won fans for more than 50 years with his masterful 3-finger Scruggs style of playing on the 5-string banjo. Since teaming up with Lester Flatt in the Foggy Mountain Boys in 1948, Scruggs has since performed in front of millions around the world. His recording of “The Ballad of Jed Clampett” with Flatt and singer Jerry Scoggins remains one of the most recognized songs of American pop culture. His enthusiasm for playing music has heavily influenced notable musicians including the likes of Bill Keith, Tony Triscka, John McEuen and Bella Fleck. His legacy is undeniably remarkable and it will be an honor to welcome him to the Black Oak Mountain stage.

Joining Steve and Earl for this exciting concert is Missouri's own Rhonda Vincent, also a multiple Grammy Award winning artist, and many times Vocalist of the Year. Constant touring has made Rhonda a headliner at Bluegrass festivals everywhere. Given the title "Queen of the Bluegrass" by the Wall Street Journal, she will grace the stage with her hot band and set the tempo for the best Bluegrass and fun show in the Ozarks this summer.See Steve Martin and Earl Scruggs in concert together as they explore the extreme side of the banjo!
