Branson Fall Foliage Forecast!


Fall is the most beautiful and colorful time of the year here in the Branson Missouri area. From the middle of September, October and early November the Ozark Mountains are filled with the most spectacular colors of fall foliage in the country!


Fall Foliage Forecast for Branson Missouri includes the week of September 20th when we should start seeing the first changes of fall colors. By the week of October 1st the Branson Missouri area will be showing a good variety of fall colors! By October 15th you can expect full fall colors and crisp autumn temperatures. This year’s fall foliage color is expected to be one of the best autumn leaf color displays in the Midwest and should last through November 12th. The best fall leaf color viewing will be the following weeks of October and November! The best weeks to view this year’s fall leaf colors will include the week of October 1st when the fall colors are beginning to change, the week of October 7th fall leaf colors will almost be at peak viewing, the week of October 14th should be the first week of peak fall leaf colors. The week of October 12th through November 5th will be the very best time to view this year’s fall leaf colors with some lasting through to and the weekend of November 12th.

Hollister Fall Grape Festival This Weekend!


The Hollister Chamber of Commerce is having their biggest annual event! Join us for The Annual Grape and Fall Festival Saturday, September 25, 2010. Based on an early 1900s grape carnival this will be the 12th year for the Hollister Fall Grape Festival.


A sizeable grape crop was once grown in the area where Hollister, Missouri is located. Downtown Hollister's historical Downing Street will be closed for events this weekend, which include live entertainment, car show, food, games, dancers, martial arts demonstrations and over 25 artists and craftspeople demonstrating their work.


The Grape Stomp competition begins at 2:00 PM. Also see a special 4:00 PM performance by country artist country/rock artist Jamirae and Col. Jason Gordon from the Branson Hot Hits Country & Rock N Roll Legends Show! All events are FREE to the public!

Autumn Daze Craft Festival In Branson!



As the Branson fall festival season gets well underway the big tents are going up in downtown Branson Missouri for the fall season's most famous craft festival.



The 37th Annual Autumn Daze Festival and sidewalk sale will be held Thursday though Sunday, September 16 – 19, 2010 in downtown Branson from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm daily. The event features more than 150 craftsmen showing their special talents in creating the best of Ozark Mountain handmade craft items. You won't find any factory produced merchandise here! All items at the festival are hand made and make great keepsakes and gifts for everyone.




Free Branson Autumn Daze Craft Festival entertainment on Thursday includes BINGO, Sacred Fire Ministries, Ermal as John Wayne, Branson Mall Entertainers, Denny Yeary, Gary Welch, Joey Herd, Jeff Gordon, George Dyer, Sheldon Tucker and Michele Sevryn. Free Branson Autumn Daze Craft Festival entertainment on Friday includes BINGO, Sacred Fire Ministries, Bill Harper, Gary Welch, Jeff Gordon, Joey Herd, Jamirae, Jason Gordon from Hot Hits Country & Rock N Roll Legends Show, Motown Downtown Show with The Drifters and more!

New Branson Show Features Classic Country & Rock N Roll Legends! The Hot Hits of Country & Rock N Roll Legends Show is Branson's newest show!


Rock music is a popular music that entered the mainstream in the 1950s. It has its roots in 1940s and 1950s rock and roll, rhythm and blues, country music and also drew on folk music, Rock & Country Music was one in the same and then in the mid to late 1950's both Rock n Roll and Country music took on their own directions and have influenced the Country and Rock music we listen to today!

National Fall Harvest Festival At Silver Dollar City!



In recognition of Silver Dollar City's 50th anniversary, the US Congress recently proclaimed the 1880s theme park "The Home of American Craftsmanship." This fall, Silver Dollar City welcomes the season with the granddaddy of all its festivals, the one that has made Silver Dollar City what it is today! The National Harvest Festival presents music and crafts of all kinds during the fall harvest festival at Silver Dollar City. Music includes live performances featuring Country Western, Bluegrass, and Gospel music.



Crafts include wood carving, stained glass, natural wool dying, fabric weaving, barn wood birdhouses and much more. The sounds and smells of the fall harvest fill the Silver Dollar City square with sorghum making and cowboy cooking. Over 500 visiting craftsmen and musicians join Silver Dollar City's 100 resident craftsmen to create what is widely recognized in the industry as the nation's largest festival of demonstrating craftsmanship!


New this year PBS Craft in America Exhibit! Silver Dollar City is proud to host this amazing exhibit, developed exclusively for Silver Dollar City, from the creators of the Peabody-award winning PBS documentary series featuring unique American artists.




Also new this year Caricature Carvers of America Showcase featuring a Craftsmen's Reunion featuring veteran Silver Dollar City artisans including Peter Engler, Ted Blaylock, Peter Kramer, Lee Robertson, Tom Crain, Gary Dierking and Jesse Barnes. Meet over 100 Missouri artisans as they fill the park with their very own salute to Missouri's fine craftsmanship September 11 through October 30. Learn How To Do-It-Yourself Craft Workshops in Boatworks Theater. Learn how to make beautiful wreaths and centerpieces, and decorate Christmas trees!




Headin' West returns to the Opera House stage for another spectacular season! This 45-minute live musical production, created especially for Silver Dollar City, tells the timeless tale of American westward expansion during the 1860s. Complete with colorful characters, harrowing adventures, a moving musical score, surprising special effects, vivid scenery and talented performers. This is Silver Dollar City's biggest production show ever! Show is free with park admission. Headin' West runs September 11 through October 24. Headin’ West is the winner of the "Big-E" award for Best Overall Production in 2009 by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions! Be sure to see this show while you are visiting Silver Dollar City this fall!


The National Harvest Festival also features the Tastes of America including barbecued ribs, succulent ham or pork tenderloin straight from the Heartland, Southwestern entrées including Ham & Beans and your favorite desserts. Or try traditional dishes like Son of a Gun Beef Stew or Campfire Roasted Prairie Chicken fresh from the Frontier.
