Hydroplane boats will dominate the waters of Lake Taneycomo at Rockaway Beach, Missouri again this year on Saturday and Sunday, June 2 & 3, 2012! Practice runs are scheduled to begin at 10 am and will continue through 12 pm. The boat race competition begins at 1 pm and will run through 5 pm. This year also includes the fastest record run of the event.
The Rockaway Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the Hydroplane Boat Races. Spectators can view the boat races from the shores of Lake Taneycomo in downtown Rockaway Beach, Missouri. There will also be food, fun, and crafts in the Rockaway Beach City Park adjacent to the water raceway. Be sure and plan to see some of the fastest boats on Ozark's water on this weekend in Rockaway Beach, Missouri.
