National Fall Harvest Festival

Music includes live performances featuring Riders in the Sky, Home Rangers, Open Range, Sons and Brothers and Silver Dollar City's own legendary Horsecreek Band plus many many more. Crafts include stained glass, natural wool dying, fabric weaving, barn wood birdhouses, wood carving and gourd painting. The sounds and smells of the fall harvest fill the Silver Dollar City square with sorghum making, goat milking and even an antique tractor parade. Over 125 visiting craftsmen join Silver Dollar City's 100 resident craftsmen to create what is widely recognized in the industry as the nation's largest festival of demonstrating craftsmanship! The National Harvest Festival Salutes the Great American Cowboy and includes live musical shows everyday! Silver Dollar City kicks off the National Harvest Festival with The Salute To The American Cowboy rides again in a big way! New this year is the Texas Trick Riders showcasing trick, fancy stunt and Roman riding, plus trick shooting and whip acts atop legendary white stallions! Outdoor artistic performances take stage on Silver Dollar City's Main Street with internationally recognized crafts people who create works of art completely out-of-the-ordinary including chalk street artist drawing in 3D and full color, plus a sand sculptor who will take 50-tons of sand to create a massive display, recognizing the special elements of the Harvest Festival such as lumberjacks and eagles. The all-new Culinary & Craft School debuts during the National Harvest Festival. The newly constructed 1880s style farmhouse is home to our BIGGEST presentation of hand-crafted work to date showcasing one-of-a-kind decorative items made by Silver Dollar City craftsmen. The National Harvest Festvial Tastees of America features festival dishes throughout the park, such as Indian Tacos and Wrangler's Buffalo Chili. Fall specialty desserts include an array of pies: Pumpkin, Peach, Pecan, Peanut Butter, Strawberry, Blackberry Cobbler and more.The National Harvest Festival runs September 12 - October 26, 2013.
